Hi, is there a way (CSS) to “hard align” a button?
I can only get the button to align to the left margin of pages, but I would like it to align to the edge of the browser window?
@Andrewg, If you have Sparkle3 you can use a Fixed Window Popup to do what you want to do. Check out the settings I have used to make it happen… Good luck!
Thank you @FlaminFig,
Pointing me to those settings has improved my menu, which is now fixed to the left of the browser window when opened.
But what I am trying to achieve is to align the button that opens the menu to the hard left of the browser window. Is this possible?
Hi, I am obviously missing something…
If I place my “open” button on the fixed popup it disappears off the edge of the screen when the popup is closed.
What I am trying to achieve is this:
The menu open button will be positioned against the hard left of the browser window when the popup is closed. And…
@Andrewg, Ok you did great!
Sparkle3 has so many surprises under the hood that it is like a treasure hunt! Totally love the ingenuity!!!
Hi,
I should have clarified: the screen shots were of what I want to achieve, not reality.
The menu button is currently positioned about 100px from the left of the browser window.
When you click it, the popup slides out from the left OVER the button.
It seems like a popup has to be off the screen completely when not active.
It would be good to be able to set the (in this case) the horizontal position of the popup when closed so that one edge was visible all the time?
There may be another method of building a slide out menu that I have overlooked?
@Andrewg, Ok I see… my bad!
Let me have a think a bit to see if I can get this to work how you have exampled. Time for bed here in Tasmania so will take a look tomorrow my time!
