I have seen the very small circle with an “i” in it that when you hover over it gives you a small amount of text info. They’re everywhere.
What would be the best way?
You can use a button for the base (i) and a popup for the text. If the text is really short and just one line and you’re fine with the look a browser would give it, you can also make an (i) image and use the “title” settings field for the information, that conventionally goes in tooltip.
