The page listing along the left nav pane of the Sparkle screen…I know one can click, hold, and drag a page’s title to a different location within the list. However, can it be sorted by some attribute like title, or creation date, or modified date?
I didn’t see a way.
Also, while the order of layers is significant, can I assume the order of pages is not? I don’t see how…but then again, I don’t want to assume.
Just a side note, Sparkle doesn’t work like your normal web design platforms out there, but in saying that once you get it it works really well and intuitively!
Regarding your first question… No, but I’m not getting why you would want to? Second question… For me the order of the pages are important because it follows the structure of my website and the presentation of my site’s navigation.
First off, I understand the value you described…“it follows the structure of my website and the presentation of my site’s navigation.” That makes sense.
For me, my site is a blog site. I ordered the pages manually by the date I created the blog post. The history of the postings over time provides me with insight. It is not difficult to maintain, but other times, I’d like to re-sort by title and then back to date created.
This is not a must-have…more like a nice-to-have.
Again, I just didn’t know if I was missing something.
From what I understand whenever you add a blog post it is chronologically introduced by date. So yes I don’t think you have the ability to sort via title in the left-hand column of Sparkle.
You also have “Blog Tags” you can introduce to organise your blog posts on the User’s side of your live website. It would be a bit of work but you could introduce your blog post by the first letter of your blog post title? But that is probably not what you want to do.
So just saying Blog Tags are really helpful in categorising your blog posts when it comes to your live website.
