Google Map Help

Can anyone talk me through adding a google map to a website I’m putting together. Clicked add map, then told I need API key to view it. So obtained a key from Google by adding my card details. Entered the key into the box and nothing happens. If I go to preview I get this message in the map box:
Google Maps Platform rejected your request. This API project is not authorized to use this API.

How do I get the map working?

This can sometimes happen if the website isn’t hosted on the actual domain. The API is associated with a domain, so it’s likely that if you’re checking in preview, the error may show up. Try publishing on your hosting account to see what happens. If you want to show the map during development use the map option illustrated below:
