Apple is now using the new HEIC format for photos.
Q: Is this format something I can use in Sparkle? Or must I convert such images to JPG?
Thanks,
Dave
You can drop a .heic file in the Sparkle canvas and Sparkle will accept it. However it’s not a web standard, in a web context it’s not recognized even on Mac and iOS, so Sparkle always produces the appropriate jpg/webp/png file.

Thanks for answering my question, Duncan! I was hoping that your smart app would make the conversion to JPG but wasn’t sure.
Yesterday, I used my trusty app, Graphic Converter, to batch process a folder full of HEIC images a client sent me. Another fine app to have in any Mac toolbox!
