Horizontal Nav out of room

I’m in the midst of doing a Horizontal nav bar with 9 entries from left to right. Half way thru the grid after 4 entires; I can’t add anymore. I’m using the ‘auto add pages’ function. Strange because the entries in my nav bar haven’t reached the right margin.
I’m wondering if I should have used buttons in the first place. Thanks for suggestions.

Also try unticking “Same size” and that way you can manually adjust the width of the containing boxes.
