Image sizes for full width image slider

I want to make a full width image slider for several images with different sizes. If I choose “stretch fill” some of them do not fit as they are meant to be, if I choose “fit” I have the background color as a frame.

What size would I need to choose for all images so that they all fit for full width image slider? Or is there any work around?

@acbee, I usually have images I use for full width around 1600px by 600px, but because we are dealing with high resolution retina screens I usually double(ish) it to around 3000px by 900px.
