It would be nice if you could place images on the right or left edge of the browser without any tricks. In general, more options for the website width would be great. 
Yesss, this is something I have been looking for as well.
The last WYSIWYG-editor that had this ability was Macaw. You just dragged the element “outside” the canvas and then everything outside the canvas was cropped.
Very easy.

And I agree, Macaw was a really great product in its day.
