Implementing live chat feature

Hi guys,

Any advice for implementing live chat feature in a website. Any recommendations?

Thank you

Hi @mccauld …
Facebook Messenger is pretty simple to install, but there are a myriad of third-party ones out there where they just get you to place a snippet of code (via the Embed) into Sparkle for it to work.

Thank you. That’s great. I will try messenger and see how I get on

Hi !

I have installed Tawk.to’s live chat on my website, it integrates very well with Sparkle using a simple embed as suggested by @FlaminFig . It is customizable (design, automatic responder, online/away/offline mode, etc…) but I find their website really not intuitive.

You can use Crisp Chat. https://app.crisp.chat
Create your widget on their site and generate an HTML embed link. Then embed it in Sparkle. It has a mobile app so you can follow up on chats.

Hi thanks guys,
Tawk to instructs me to “Add it to your site’s HTML pages just before the tag”

Will embed automatically do this?

Hi !

You just need to use the “embed” function and paste the entire code into it. It is requested to embed it in the <head> of the page, which normally requires us to purchase development tools, but it works very well without them using the “embed” function included in Sparkle.
