Which I think looks good on portrait is taking up much screen space on the portrait modes.
Is there a way to use stay at top for portrait, and remove the check mark for landscape, as a separate function?
It seems to be one or the other only.

You can use the “Show on this device” checkbox in the arrange settings to hide the element on a device. If you want the same content, but not the stick to top option, you will have to duplicate it, and use the show on this device trick to control where each is visible.
