On Click/Open Email not working (for some)

A click to email piece of text will not work for some who visit my site when using both Android and iOS mobile devices.
When tested on a number of browsers, iPads, iPhones it opens email client as expected.

Pretty simple setting it up-
select txt/choose Open Email under On Click/enter email address/enter subject.
So not sure if it’s something I’m missing in Sparkle or an end user issue.

Just wondered if anyone has come across this and any help appreciated, thanks.

I wonder if the ones that can’t get it to work have the browser’s javascript setting turned off?

When a website prompts the user to send an email, and for two times the user cancels opening the email client, iOS will not prompt the user anymore.

This iOS behavior is present in a number of instances, including with native apps, for example with location prompts.

I don’t know if there’s a way to reset it.

Thanks for reply.

Going to try and get a look at one of the site visitors devices that link fails on. Meantime, I’ll create a form, which has worked well in past.
Although with forms, I’ve not figured how to provide the sender with an automatic carbon copy of what they sent, if that makes sense?

Unfortunately there isn’t a great way to do that for a contact form, where anybody can enter any email address. If someone starts using that form as a way to send spam (in the form of that carbon copy message), your domain and site will be quickly banned.

I see, thanks Duncan.
