Public another website in a folder

Hi guys,
I would like to publish another website in a folder like: mydomain.com/thenameofothersite .
The question is: if I do that will my website deleted or what can happens? And if I can publish it then how can delete it if I want to??

That works fine. We use it for our website, the top level of sparkleapp.com and say the documentation are two separate project files.
