Under Settings, option Local Business, I filled out all of the required info. However, in the top pick list, it says that I can not publish this info because required info is missing…
I did fill out all of the fields. Just not sure what to fill out in Business ID, so just put the url/number in that.
Why does it not allow to publish the local business info to a page? Any idea what I’m doing wrong here?
@405media in business ID I just filled in: https://www.bapfoto.de# nothing else. And as I just wrote to Hpee, I didn’t write anything in opening hours nor in days, but it works since first publish.
The local business setup is a bit daunting, and we should do a better job. I should also clarify that it’s not us making up this information, as previously stated in this community the information is “standardized” by schema.org (to the will of founding members, including Google).
The reference are several documents which are quite hard to read:
So an ID is a thing in internet terms, a unique identifier. That’s why the default http://domain.com# with the domain name is fine.
As per images, it’s a local business, meaning a business that’s relevant to a search engine local search, which in search engine lingo means a business with a physical presence in some real world place, i.e. answering queries like “pizza in new york”. So a local business image means a photo of the store front.
Yeah, this is exactly what I’m dealing with also:
This section lacks any deep information on precisely how it should be setup.
I too have not yet loaded any “images” because it wasn’t clear what they were supposed to be. I’m assuming that for my photography site literally any image that represents what I’m doing would be fine (although maybe the image itself should be a composite of different images together…?)
So I’m assuming that if this section is completed then it will publish?
But yes please, finish the documentation on this area since it’s critical to have it properly matched to a FB campaign tied to Square.
@producerguyaz, I was making more of a reference to Shared Image answering your previous post. It has more to do with social media and search engines… Instead of “them” taking an image off your website you can tell then which image to use via Shared image.
