Sparkle File doesn't exist on 'open recent'

Just got that sick feeling. Lots of rain on the Saskatchewan prairie and decided to work on my Sparkle Doc. Opened Sparkle with the regular splash screen, and didn’t notice a recent file . Searched my Mac for the file and nada. Went to ‘Open recent’ and it shows an icon for ‘billwood.ca’ but indicates ‘file doesn’t exist’.
Other than not backing up, I wonder what I did wrong.
I think I have a whole lot of work to do.

Did you you a spotlight search for the file? Is it in the trash?

Best,
Scott

Sure did Scott. No luck. Oh well, more Sparkle practice. Haven’t lost a file for years. I suspect working with OS I did something. Back Up everyday!

Hey what about this, it’s a free download. I’ve never used it but it might be worth a try etc

HI, Small chance you could get it by using REVERT feature under the FILE menu of Sparkle.
Give it a shot!

The list of recent files is managed by the Finder, not Sparkle. That list sometimes gets corrupt, but the files aren’t deleted. They should be just where you saved them.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I still believe I’m hooped. Que Sera Sera. Always back up somewhere.
