A very basic question regarding Sparkle upgrade: I am running macOS High Sierra (10.13.6) on my desktop. Can I benefit from upgrading to Sparkle 3.0.2 from 2.8.12?
@shrinx, You can benefit big time!
Duncan states macOS compatibility on his website (https://sparkleapp.com/presskit/), but you should be fine because Sparkle3 can run on macOS 10.9 Maverick or later, and is also optimized for 11.0 Big Sur.
Duncan also mentions all the benefits of the new Sparkle3 on that page as well.

Hi @shrinx, the macOS compatibility for Sparkle hasn’t changed, so that shouldn’t be a concern. While we mostly talked about new stuff in Sparkle, there’s a huge number of fixes and improvements that make it worthwhile.
