I’m looking to make a text based gallery for a review section on my site. Is this option available? These reviews are on the facebook page for the business, but I’m unsure of how to get them on the website other than to copy/paste. Any suggestions?
First of all, hello and welcome
There are online widgets available to integrate Facebook reviews, but I haven’t personally tried them.
Regarding the text-based gallery, Sparkle doesn’t offer an official function for this. However, you have at least two ways to do it manually:
- Photo gallery with text: Use an image gallery and replace the photos with transparent images. Then, add the reviews as captions to each image.
- Pop-up windows: You can also create a gallery using pop-up windows. While this method is more complex than the first, it also works to create a gallery effect for the reviews.
Gratitude Allan. Hopefully this will be something included in future updates. For now, I’ll use one of these methods. Thanks.
Peace Allan. So while working on a site, I came to the realization that while using image gallery, you can show labels. But the most brilliant thing about it is the labels can be moved outside of the picture’s frame. I know this isn’t the suggestion section, and maybe I’ll post it there, but in the future, having a “hide image” option would be awesome! I would imagine adding a checkbox to the side panel to do this would be an easy update. Heck, maybe even an option to add an embed who knows. I found some stock photos to add to my gallery I wanted to display the text I’m using in the meantime… but yea… I freakin love this app
Hi
The image gallery is the first solution I suggested to you last time. Sorry if I wasn’t clear enough (especially since I’m using AI for translation).
If you don’t want any images at all and just the text, you can use transparent images so they won’t be visible. Here’s one below:

What you’re suggesting is a good idea, yes. It might even be better to no longer call it an “image gallery” but simply a “gallery,” allowing users to place whatever they want in the frame (photos, text, videos, blocks, etc.). This would really expand the creative possibilities. Maybe one day!
Yes, you did suggest the gallery. Using the transparent images is freaking brilliant!!! Wish I thought of that . Thank you so much, that was a really good look!
