I realise that is quite difficult to implement all kind of elements (aka widgets) with build-in functionality.
Not to mention how difficult can be to maintain a complex app like Sparkle.
Why don’t you make it more modular?
Add a Plugin/Addon architecture, concentrate on the core functionality, and let the community develop on top of the Sparkle platform.
