I love Sparkle and I don’t own/rent Adobe DreamWeaver, but a friend wants me to make a few changes to his website, which was done in DW (the DW person is no longer available to help him). Is there any way to import the DreamWeaver site into Sparkle?

You can import HTML pages into Sparkle, but you have to do it one by one. So if the website of your friend has many pages, it may be a lot of work.
The process is described here in the Sparkle documentation:

Once you have the pages imported into Sparkle, you can tweak them and make the changes, then upload them to the web server.
