Can the Search option be ungrouped?

I really like the Search option, but it seems to be a text field and a button that are grouped, but can’t be ungrouped. Am I right, or am I missing something and is it possible to use only the field, without the button?

I’m asking because I would like to put it against the right edge of the side, and the button is ‘in the way’. I’ve already made it invisible, but it’s still taking up it’s place.

Yeah we should make that more flexible. You can swap the position around and move the button to the other side.

Where ? I’ve searched high and low, but haven’t been able to find it…

Drag it? It’s a normal group aside from it being not ungroupable.

I guess this really shows that I’m a newbie to Sparkle, this didn’t even occur to me.
