Hello Works by SY

Hi,

I haven’t done anything to my own site for a long time. I worked on it a bit today and made this.

Sparkle makes my job so easy and allows me in terms of design that there is no limit to what can be done!
Thank you again and again for this amazing application.

Hi Selçuk!

Great job! It’s sleek and really well executed, I love it. :star_struck: Starting the visitor at the footer to create that effect of tiles stacking up is truly ingenious!

@selcuk very cool, but I’m asking how do you manage different screen mobile devices? Are u using pop-ups or just stick to top layout blocks?
I’m asking because I don’t see the way of this not being cut in some devices or having different spacing to bottom.

I don’t use Layout Blocks, I just used the overlap option to stick to page top.

That’s an issue then I think, have you tried it on a iPhone SE emulator?

I haven’t tried it, what exactly is the problem?

Hmm, the screen height of this device was not enough for my cards. I set it to go to the link when all cards with links are clicked.

Yeah, that’s a solution but I wouldn’t do anything that makes the experience different depending on the device. I hope with the launch of the new SE next year all screens are similar but people have this SEs now and we have to take them into account.

Actually, I don’t think it’s right to try to give the full desktop experience on mobile.
I can even remove the portfolio part completely from mobile.

I think the dynamics of mobile and desktop are different.

All designs should be mobile first nowadays, and in my opinion, experience must be the same in every device.

I don’t think this way. Each platform has its own dynamics and the design should be tailored accordingly for each platform. Mobile first is not the right approach in my opinion.

I understand your point of view but if you only design experiences for desktop I don’t see future there. I think is our job to find a way to adapt desktop experiences for mobile and maintain consistency as much as we can taking into account the device properties.

I disagree. The needs and uses of the two are different.
They don’t have to be the same.

This is my approach. You may disagree, but you can’t say it should be like this.

However, I also find it valuable that Sparkle works with fixed layout instead of responsive. This provides the opportunity to make different designs for different screens.
