Sorry. I’m having trouble stretching an image that stretches when the browser size increases . I have done this before but the brain is not engaging right now.
Ive grouped a box and image and stuck it on top. Sorry for being elementary.

@Woodrow, An image element doesn’t allow stretch to browser width.
But you can take a Widebox element and place a background image which will behave the same way.

And the image has to be the same size as the wide box correct?

@Woodrow, No not necessarily. But because there are a lot of high definition 5K Retina screens (PCs included) I would as a minimum double the size of the image to the container dimensions you place it in.
