I tried to ad a Vimeo URL (also tested with Youtube video URL´s) of my video - it just doesn´t show (within the “video box”) in any of the preview browsers (but tries forever to load (spinning wheel) and then, after about 45 seconds stops).
What does work is embeding the code that Vimeo gives me…

I already reported the issue with YouTube to Duncan a few weeks ago, and I received the following response: “That’s YouTube, can’t do anything about it.” For Vimeo, I’m not sure if it’s the same problem, but it might be better to use the embed code instead.
Generally the issue with Vimeo is the privacy settings on the video, that Vimeo extends to embedding, effectively blocking Sparkle from using it. In the embed code they provide they include an “access key” which is why that works. If you want to send the details to our support over email we’ll take a look: feedback@sparkleapp.com
Thank you Duncan for the quick response! I must say, that the Sparkle community (and also you, of course!) are really top on that matter.
In the meantime, using different trial and error ways, it suddenly worked (I don´t know exactly why, will try to trace it back). If I find out, I mwill post it here.
PS: It really might have to do with the privacy settings on Vimeo
I think, I found out how it works (at least that´s how it worked a few times in a roe, without a problem. As indicated in the screenshot, I copied the link especially from that button and not, as before, from a “link button” in the Vimeo library.
VIMEO video integration problem:

The secret, so it seems is, one has to click “public” clicking the “share” box AND then, in addition! go into the “embed” box and click the “anywhere” box.
At least in my case, the integration via “video box” in sparkle also worked (as well as to embed the code)
