"X" by Sections

Anyone know what the “X” in a circle next to a Section in the list signifies? They seem to come and go.

The “X” in a circle deletes the whole section.

Thanks for the information. I accidentally clicked on one and discovered it deleted the section and all the pages in it. There was no warning or confirmation required before everything was deleted. Thank goodness for “undo.”

It is a bit irritating that there is no warning and a whole section can disappear just like that …
